Musings from too close to the crypt. Random thoughts, valentines, and vitriol from an aging and increasingly cranky boomer who's tired of the public flogging he's taken as an Oregon Public Employee and now as a retired public employee drawing his PERS pension. To people who think I'm getting more than I deserve - bite me! I earned every penny. Please read the notes below before posting comments, or emailing me. They are important!!!

I Will Survive
This is dedicated to all PERS members and retirees and is our collective "finger" to PERS.
This refers back to an older post: maybe Judge Kantor decided not to make a decision because he would have been caught in a conflict of interest, if, in fact his spouse is a public school teacher and will get a PERS pension one day. He could benefit from the pension. I wonder why he didn't just recuse himself from the case. Now it's a moot point I guess.
Judge Kantor offered to recuse himself at the original hearing. All parties encouraged him to remain on the case. Both he and his wife are PERS members.

Thanks - that was hilarious!
EXCELLENT. I attached a nice big finger and forwarded to all my active and retired PERS buds.
Thanks Marc.
