If you wish to help support the ongoing costs of running this blog and you haven't purchased anything through Amazon on this site, please consider a small donation to defray basic costs. It isn't free to me to keep this site current. I have to pay for bandwidth, costs of duplicating documents when they exist only in paper form, and keep printer ink around to read lengthy documents, and the time to do the research. Thank you. Flowers In Your Hair

It was time.  Today I changed the theme of the blog to a more modern look.  I’m still tinkering, trying to get all the various widgets where I’d like them.  So far as I can tell, everything that is supposed to be here is here, but it may take people awhile to get used to the new format.  Let me know in the comments what you like, what you dislike.  I can’t promise I’ll change it, but I plan to move some things around.  Plus ça change; plus la meme chose.

Perhaps a tad more color contrast between the main background and the background of the individual blog posts. It looks pretty clean overall. I'm looking at it on an iPad, so I don't know if the white text on dark background would be as readable to my aging eyes on a phone screen.

I think the changes made will help set off the content from the doodads. Let me know if this helps.

It's pretty readable on my iPhone 7 size screen.

Using a MacBook I find the brown with yellow text easy to read. Thanks for using a font big enough for my older (I don't feel old!!) eyes.

I like the new format and design (as of April 6th midnight). A minor thing I noticed is that in this comment section, the date of the posted comment is not there but the time is. Displaying the date seems more important. Of course, the newest comment should be at the bottom of the listings, but a date would be helpful for the freshest of the comment and whether I have already seen it days ago. Thanks, Michael.

Notice that I've fixed the date issue. Your comments should now appear in date order with the posting time, as well.

Could you put years on your archive listing?

I wish I could, but that isn't possible without a lot of hand coding.

Found an obscure setting that changed it. You should be happy now.

I love it and appreciate everything you do! I can't imagine how much of your life you have put into keeping us informed. I used to follow your group on Yahoo. My email got hacked and I think it was doing something on the group because you notified me I needed to get a new email and join again. But things had settled down a little regarding PERS and I didn't do that. I'm glad you and your moderators continued with Google. I have so much admiration for all of you. I would like to let them all know it is appreciated.

With much respect, Georgi

Thank you for all your work and writing to keep the general PERS worker informed. Truly a blessing. Regarding the new look. I have always found lighter pages to be more attractive and eye catching. A brown background with light yellow for the text boxes would work, then you can have a brown text. Might even help those of us who have "senior eyes".
Thank you again for information.
